Dear Backers,

I’m Lorina, the creator of ovOlio, and I wanted to share some important updates and insights with you all.

When I first envisioned ovOlio, I wanted to create a token that embodied resilience and balance. Little did I know, the journey of bringing this project to life would itself be a profound lesson in resilience. The path has been filled with unexpected challenges, yet it has also been incredibly rewarding.

Finding the right woodworker

One of the key hurdles was sourcing the right woodworker to bring my design to scale. After much searching, I was thrilled to find a skilled artisan in China who could execute my vision. The samples I received were not only satisfactory but also incredibly encouraging. You can see these samples in the project photos, where they were used for our film and promotional shots.

Challenges in production

However, transitioning from samples to mass production has proven to be more complicated than anticipated. I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your patience during the delays in wood sourcing. It has been disheartening to learn that some of you have received damaged ovOlios. This issue seems to stem not just from transportation mishaps, although I have plenty to say about how postal services handle fragile packages, but also from the woodworker's choice to use hot glue to assemble the pieces.

I am currently navigating a steep learning curve, striving to address your concerns and find solutions that work for everyone. Your feedback has been invaluable, and I want to thank those of you who have shared kind words and practical solutions. Your support is a beacon of hope as we tackle these challenges.

Manuals and instructions

Although I wished to introduce a small leaflet with minor instructions for the ovOlio, it seems  this step was missed during packaging, so you did not receive an instructions sheet. I do apologize for that!

However, in line with my commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, I decided to consider this an undesired but welcomed outcome. The design is quite intuitive: simply open it, add a few drops of oil, close it, place it on the stand, and let it spin. For those who prefer a visual guide, I’ve included a video below demonstrating how to use your ovOlio.

Important Note: If you wish to change the fragrance of the oil, please ensure you air dry the ovOlio for at least 24 hours before reusing it.

Thank you once again for your unwavering support and patience. We are committed to ensuring that each ovOlio you receive meets the high standards we set out to achieve. Your feedback and understanding are crucial as we work through these final hurdles.

Thanks to the hard work of our dedicated team and manufacturing partners, we're excited to inform you that by the end of April, we'll be ready to start shipping ovOlio worldwide!

Updates on survey status!

Hi amazing backers, 

Thank you for your continued support and patience in the process of setting up and sending the survey.

By now, all of you should have received the survey in your inbox, so please make sure you confirm your delivery address and pledge selection. Until now, we have only half of the surveys completed and I am excited to have the others confirmed as well so we can plan and arrange shipping.

Also, for the ones who did not manage to confirm payment via Kickstarter, there will be the opportunity to do so via the survey, so you'll still be able to receive your pledge.

Production has started today and I will get back to you with updates as soon as possible.
